Barista And Coffee Production Assistant
We’re looking for a skilled barista who’s excited to grow beyond the bar and gain hands-on experience in the roastery. This is a full-time role split between brewing for customers in our café and assisting in coffee production at the roastery.
You’ll be part of a team that values curiosity and excellence; someone who can confidently share coffee knowledge with customers and colleagues, and who brings an eagerness to keep learning about Kenyan coffee.
What You'll Spend Your Time Doing:
- Brew and serve specialty coffee drinks to a consistently high standard
- Assist in roasting operations: weighing, packaging, quality control, and inventory
- Confidently engage customers on coffee, processing methods, taste profiles, and our company mission
- Bring curiosity and initiative to both the bar and the roastery—ask questions, experiment, and share insights
- Support a smooth daily flow between the café and the roastery
What We’re Looking For
- Professional barista training and experience in a specialty coffee environment.
- Evidence of prior exposure to roasting or strong curiosity to learn.
- Confident communication skills; able to share your coffee knowledge clearly and enthusiastically.
- Discipline, consistent in craft, and open to innovation.
